BROWNIE UNIFORMS                              The Brownie uniform has many pieces, including the sash or vest, shirt, pants, shorts etc. Please note that uniforms are not required, just strongly encouraged, especially the sash or vest. After all where are they going to put their TRY-ITS and patches if they don't have a vest or sash?!!

WARNING!!! Buy BIG! These pieces have to last for 3 years! Uniforms and other Brownie accessories can be purchased at your local council.  In some cities, Sunny's Affordable Outdoor World stores carry uniform pieces

Know what you can do with that cherished vest full of try-its, patches and memories when it's time to bridge to Juniors?

The Brownie Girl Scout Challenge 1 Patch/Pin:
Making the World a Better Place

You can make the world a better place! It all begins where you live and go to school. You can do something like cheer up someone who is sad or cleaning up the playground.  Start today. Have fun doing these three activities.

1. Courage - Courage means being brave. It takes courage to try new things. Have you ridden a two-wheeler for the first time? Made a new friend? What have you already done that took courage?

Use your courage to make the world a better place. Think of someone at school or in Girl Scouts you would like to help or cheer up. Do you know someone who needs a friend? Think of something really nice you can do for that person. Now, do it!

2. Character - Character is the type of person you are. Are you honest, a good listener, friendly, and helpful? These words describe a person who's got the character it takes to make the world a better place. Have you noticed they are also words in the Girl Scout Law?

What's your favorite line in the Girl Scout Law? Why? Make up a cheer explaining your answer. Be creative.  Now share your cheer with three people. What did they say? What did you learn?

3. Confidence - Confidence is believing in what you can do. When you can do something really well, you can teach it to a younger kid. What's a game you are good at and have a lot of fun playing?  Make a little kid's day extra special by using your confidence to teach him or her your game. What did you learn? How does it feel to help a younger kid have a special day?

CONGRATULATIONS! You’ve finished the Girl Scout Challenge.
